ContextGuard CLI Installation

ContextGuard ships as a compiled, zero-dependency binary and a Claude Code plugin. Choose your preferred installation method:

1. Automated Installer (macOS, Linux, Windows)

macOS & Linux:

curl -sSf https://contextguard.tech/install.sh | sh

Windows (PowerShell):

irm https://contextguard.tech/install.ps1 | iex

2. Manual Download / Build from Source

Download the archive matching your OS/CPU from GitHub Releases, extract it, and place the binary somewhere on your PATH:

https://github.com/ChevvyOkK/contextguard/releases/latest

Or, if you have Rust installed, build directly from the repository:

cargo install --git https://github.com/ChevvyOkK/contextguard

3. Package Managers (Homebrew, Cargo, Winget — Planned for v1.0)

Homebrew (macOS / Linux):
brew install contextguard/tap/contextguard
Rust (Cargo):
cargo install contextguard

4. Claude Code Plugin

After installing the binary, activate the plugin inside Claude Code:

/plugin marketplace add ChevvyOkK/contextguard-plugin /plugin install contextguard@contextguard
